just sent the link to my brother in J'ville so he can write his congress person. He has 2 V1's and to me the law looks more like an opportunity for the officer to search the vehicle under suspicion of having a radar detector in hopes of finding other contra ban, just my 2 cents though. I just drove through Richmond on into Charlottesville, Va over the past weekend and I unplugged and stashed the V1 under the seat to prevent my wife and I from getting busted from using it on our trip. I normally just remove it from plain view and leave it plugged in just for alert purposes when driving in Virginia. I am surprised how many people blatantly speed on the roads when radar detectors are illegal. I was also under the impression the V1's had the best "stealth" when it came to it's radar signature since it didn't bleed/leak it's local oscillator signal like other radar detector manufacturers, not exactly sure though. Thanks again for the info.
